Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager has general responsibility for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities in a food grade refridgerated warehouse on a daily basis. You will be responsible for supervising the receiving, warehousing and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company standards and cost objectives under the general direction of the Warehouse DIrector.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Shipping and Receiving : Supervises and coordinates in a food grade setting the unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product and the picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of productivity. Verifies inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers ensuring that all product is properly counted, and participates in the unloading, stacking, picking, staging orders and unloading trailers as required.
Equipment : Ensures the efficient and safe operation of all handling equipment.
Scheduling : Participates in establishing work schedules, ensuring that the schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned efficiently and completed properly.
Storage : Maintains a product location system and ensures the optimal utilization of spaces, and updates the location system whenever the product is transferred from one location to another location.
Over/Short/Damage : Identifies and attempts to recover any product damage consistent with Company policy.
Safety, Sanitation, Security : Maintains a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assigns specific areas to employees for daily clean up. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse, and conducts operations in a manner which promotes safety.
Labor Management : Directs the operations of the warehouse work team to achieve prescribed objectives. Develops and maintains a productive work team by assisting in creation and implementation of programs for hiring, training and employee development, matching the skill and sound communication and motivational techniques, creates programs to supervise, counsel and discipline subordinates, and recognizes that confrontation is a positive form of feedback to overcome employee problems.
Inventory : Assures the integrity of the inventory and assists in conducting physical inventories.
Bachelor's degree Two years of managment experience in a warehouse setting preferably food grade
Good understanding of warehousing
Complete understanding of accurate inventory keeping
Ability to train, coach and mentor warehouse associates

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
